Taking the first step
Beginning a counseling journey can be scary, as transitions and changes always are. You can start the process with a free initial consultation where we will talk about what you are looking for in counseling and fears or concerns you have. During your first session we will talk more about what you are struggling with and your goals for counseling. After setting goals for counseling we will work together to meet them and ensure you are making progress.

Relationship Struggles
Do you feel like you always pick the wrong partners? Do you have the same arguments with all your past partners? Are you struggling to be intimate with your partner? We learn how to be in relationships from our early relationships, however these are not always models for how you want your relationship to go. Identifying the patterns that are holding you back allows us together to develop new ways of interacting that will allow you to have more enjoyable relationships.
I incorporate training from The Gottman Method which is an evidence based intervention for marriage counseling. The tools of The Gottman Method can be utilized to help you develop skills that will allow you to address conflicts and strengthen your relationship.
Anxiety
Are you consumed with worry? Do you always feel on edge? Together we can develop strategies to use when you feel anxious that help you fully engage with your life.
Depression
Do you no longer enjoy the things you used to? Does making it through every day feel like a struggle? Depression can be triggered by a life event or nothing at all. Working together to identify the thoughts that contribute to your feelings and building up strategies to think about situations differently you can rebuild your happiness.
Interpersonal Effectiveness
Do you struggle to speak up and share your ideas? Do you feel like life is passing you by because your inability to work with others is holding you back? Together we can identify the thoughts and feelings behind your behaviors and develop new patterns to relate and bring you in alignment with the life you want to live.
Trauma
Trauma comes in many forms and is individual for each person in how it affects them. Trauma changes how our brains work and how we in turn see the world. But there is hope! Neuroscience has now shown us we can rewire our brains and together we can build new pathways that will allow you to move past your trauma.
Family Struggles
The transition to adulthood does not mean that the issues from our families of origin disappear. We want to have both roots and wings and in order to do this we must have boundaries with our families. This can be very difficult depending on the unwritten rules of your family. Together we can identify these rules and bring them to light so you can choose how you want to interact rather than automatically repeating old patterns.

$160 for 45 minute individual session
$275 for 75 minute individual session
